Every day, I’m reminded that restoring sight is about more than vision – it brings back opportunity, dignity, and hope. Thanks to you, Seva’s story is one of progress: children are learning again, parents are returning to work, and entire communities are thriving.

Last week, Seva released a landmark study that uncovers the true economic cost of vision loss: $1 trillion in productivity losses every year across low- and middle-income countries. That figure is larger than the direct costs of all natural disasters combined or the entire market value of Berkshire Hathaway vanishing annually. The findings have already gained attention, including coverage by Investing.com.

The hopeful news is this: 90% of vision loss is preventable through simple, affordable solutions like eyeglasses or a $50 cataract surgery.

To show the journey you’ve made possible, we’ve launched an interactive impact map – a living record of sight restored across 20+ countries and four decades. We are also honored that Seva has been welcomed into the Million Lives Collective, recognizing organizations whose solutions reach the world’s most vulnerable.

Thank you for standing with us. By restoring sight, you restore futures.

With gratitude and resolve,
