Carole Blank Shares the Love
Glasses have been part of Carole Blank’s life since she was a kid. So imagine her delight, make that astonishment, when a cataract surgery gave her 20/20 vision in one eye.
“What an amazing gift!”, she wrote. “To see the face of a child, a sunrise, flowers blooming…something so many of us take for granted.”
A lifelong avid reader, Carole volunteers at her local library and the hospital where she reads to premature babies. “The little babies have no idea what I am reading but simply seem comforted by the sound of my voice”. While the infants haven’t indicated a preference for any one book, her personal favorite is “The Giraffe That Couldn’t Dance.” Even the nurses in the ward and the parents nearby come to listen to her read.
Carole’s inclusion of Seva in her will spreads the love far and wide; helping others see their favorite things, read, and just be themselves. Carole was inspired to include Seva because of “the dedication of the Seva volunteers and staff, bringing the unbelievable gift and joy of sight, a new life to so many.”
